This
ministry department has a distinctive and effective outreach.
It’s goals and objectives are amazing yet entirely realistic.
Through a combination of factors this department is a success
in every aspect. The Church Planting department works with
local church pastors in starting churches in new areas. Since
there are literally hundreds of locations in Argentina with
no testimony of a local church, this outreach is strategically
important. In the past 6 years we have been blessed with the
participation of Church groups from the USA coming to work
with us for evangelistic campaigns to initiate some of the
new works.
We
involve as many as 50 students and staff members of WOL Argentina
each weekend in dynamic ongoing evangelistic activities in
the communities targeted by existing churches. We also involve
WOLBI students in special activities to bolster the ongoing
efforts with the church starts as a part of their study program
in Church Planting. Students that come to WOLBI from 26 countries
as well as every Province of Argentina have received this
type of training. Since we began in 1981, we have seen 12
new churches started in the province of Buenos Aires, several
others in locations around the country of Argentina and in
5 other countries of South America. Many graduates of WOLBI
Argentina are reproducing the ministry after the pattern they
received while in training.
